Elizabeth

Veterinary Technician and Inventory Manager

Elizabeth’s path into veterinary medicine developed over time through hands-on experience and careful observation inside a clinic setting. She joined North Star Animal Hospital in March 2016, but her interest in animal care began earlier while she was in college. Originally from Houston, Elizabeth followed a pre-veterinary track, drawn to the science behind medicine and the responsibility of caring for animals during important moments.

As she gained experience working in a veterinary practice, Elizabeth began to notice how patient care unfolded throughout the day. Veterinary technicians were present at every stage, from exams to recovery, providing steady support to both pets and their families. That daily involvement stood out to her. She realized she wanted to play a direct role in patient care and remain closely involved from start to finish.

After completing her undergraduate degree, Elizabeth pursued veterinary technology and earned an Associate’s degree from Penn Foster College. A professional referral later brought her to North Star Animal Hospital, where she found a team and environment that aligned with her approach to care. Over time, she expanded her responsibilities and now serves as both a veterinary technician and inventory manager.

Elizabeth finds fulfillment in watching pets grow from early puppy visits into adulthood. Those ongoing relationships allow her to contribute to consistent care over the years. She especially enjoys educating new puppy owners, helping them feel prepared during an important stage of their pet’s life. She also values the technical aspects of her role, including radiographs and surgical support, where focus and teamwork are essential.

Alongside her clinical work, Elizabeth manages inventory to help ensure the hospital operates smoothly each day. Her steady presence and attention to detail support the medical team and help maintain the level of care families expect from North Star Animal Hospital.
